Built Environment Plus provides training for building design professionals (e.g. architects and engineers) to assist them in designing projects that comply with the Stretch energy code and Specialized energy code. This current round of training is focused on the recent updates to these codes which took effect on February 14th, 2025. This training will begin prior to June 30, 2025 with a series of 5 training sessions. DOER intends to provide grant funding via a contract with Built Environment Plus that will greatly lower the cost of this training for these professionals, particularly for early career professionals and small businesses. Because Built Environment Plus is providing this training to DOER’s target audience (building design professionals), and because DOER wants to lower the cost of the training in order to help ensure broad access and awareness of these energy codes on a timely basis given the recent code updates, and to help ensure that these professionals can design buildings that comply and reduce GHG emissions, Built Environment Plus is providing a proprietary product pursuant to the Commonwealth's Due Diligence Posting Policy.
