1.01 SCOPE OF MAINTENANCE SERVICES The selected contractor is responsible for maintaining the Blair Lot and the Terminal Street boat ramp on a weekly basis. All other sites are maintained as needed, per the “Work Order” process included in the resulting contract. These requirements may change at the discretion of the BRA; the sites are listed in Exhibit A site listing, and are subject to change as needed. A. Maintenance support activities may include the following, subject to change at the discretion of the BRA: o Collecting and removing trash and miscellaneous debris, ranging from small to large items, and emptying trash barrels o Mulching trees and shrub beds o Grass cutting and removing weeds and invasive plants o Removing fallen leaves and branches o Other maintenance services require keeping the location site in a neat, orderly appearance, including seasonal clean-ups when needed (typically in spring and fall) o Note that specialized snow removal, arborist services, and repairs are generally covered by other contracts, but may be requested for specific sites o As examples for illustrative purposes only, past as-needed services have included berm replacement; weeding between cobblestones on historic streets; and preparation for public events such as festivals, art exhibits, and press conferences. Locations for as-needed services have included 16th Avenue, Chelsea Street, and Second Avenue in the Charlestown Navy Yard, and public parks.
