SURVEY CHILDRENS HEALTH (BSCH) 2011 RFP The Boston Public Health Commission seeks a vendor to collect data for the 2011 Boston Survey of Childrens Health (BSCH). The BSCH is based on the National Survey of Childrens Health (NSCH), a survey of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Boston Childrens Health Survey will provide information on the health of children from the age of infancy through seventeen years of age. This information has not been previously collected by the Boston Public Health Commission at the population-level. The BSCH includes a wide-range of child health topics such as general health, insurance coverage, developmental delays, fitness and exercise, sleep, and education. The purpose of collecting these data is to provide city-wide prevalence estimates for a variety of physical, emotional and behavioral health measures in combination with neighborhood, demographic, and family environment information. These data will be used to guide policy, develop programming and target resources to their greatest effectiveness. No additional specifications were given.
