Specifications include, but are not limited to: ● An assessment of existing and potential places for artistic and cultural events in the City (Parks, streets, buildings) ● An updated list of current practitioners of the different art forms in the community and if available, the region. ● A series of local community envisioning or vision meetings on the role of art and culture in creating community cohesion in a culturally diverse community. ● Identified community arts and culture resources and needs, including most appropriate types of cultural events (festivals, galleries, murals, passive art, artisan fairs, and arts education, other…) and their location. ● Recommendations on when and where to start an enhanced arts and culture program in the City, expected impact, economic potential, challenges and sustainability. ● A schedule for the implementation of the Chelsea Arts and Culture Plan as well as recommended tools for evaluating success as its implementation progresses. ● Documentation of this planning process should include a review of successful similar municipal arts and culture planning projects whose experiences could be helpful in fast forwarding our local efforts.
