The City of Quincy is requesting the services of a multi-faceted architectural/ engineering design firm for the design of the new John Adams Presidential Museum as well as a new cultural center for the arts. It will be the selected Architects task to develop a design for the facility in concert with the City of Quincy. The scope of work will entail, but not limited to, a preliminary feasibility study, suitable location determination, traffic and parking studies, possible utility upgrades, available grants and funding sources, project delivery framework, the production of bid documents, permitting as well as construction phase services and commissioning services. The initial plan is to have the two (2) situated in the same building, however, this is a preliminary idea, subject to change as the project develops and unfolds. The City of Quincy, Massachusetts, is home to the Adams National Historical Park, which includes the John Adams Birthplace, the John Quincy Adams Birthplace and the Old House at Peace field, where the Adams family resided. The City of Quincy is requesting the services of a museum design consultant firm which specializes in the design of cultural Presidential Museums. This center will be for the celebration, education and promotion of the lives and contributions of John Adams, John Quincy Adams and their wives.
