The awarded Facility shall ensure that there are 12 kennels available for use in a pre-designated kennel area for animals impounded by the City of Worcester’s State Certified Animal Control Officers (ACO) or other cityemployed designees. The Facility shall (i) shelter in its facility domesticated dogs that have been impounded within the jurisdiction of the City of Worcester, (ii) provide for those animals’ care for the 7 day hold period including necessary vaccinations to ensure animal and kennel health and (iii) place for adoption or humanely euthanize, if warranted in accordance with Massachusetts law, those animals not claimed or released by their owners in the manner prescribed by law or (iv) become the property of the Facility at the expiration of any legally required hold period.
