a. Task 1 i. Drain foam tanks of two Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) trucks (Airport 1 & 3) at an offsite location/facility that is capable of handling, storing and disposing of hazardous materials, specifically AFFF. ii. Rinse and flush each foam tank and the associated piping, valves and manifolds three times (do not exceed 1,500 gallons of rinsate) iii. This task will be split into two phases, each truck will need to be sent at separate times to ensure Nantucket Airport can maintain at least one operational and inservice fire truck in accordance with FAA Part 139.315 iv. The foam tank capacity of each truck is 210 Gallons for a total of 420 gallons of ARFF concentrate. b. Task 2 i. Packaging and transporting the AFFF stock / inventory off island to an appropriate facility for disposal. ii. Nantucket Airport has the following AFFF in inventory: 1. 2 plastic tote containers totaling 400 gallons 2. 71 (5 – Gallon Pails) totaling 355 gallons c. Task 3 i. Dispose 1,175 gallons of ARFF concentrate and up to 1,500 gallons of rinsate at an off island approved facility
