EOHHS, on behalf of the DPH RVRS, launched its 21st Century Initiative in 2018 to help RVRS transform its business model to reflect evolving needs and take advantage of state-of-the-art technology to improve and grow its service delivery. In furtherance of this initiative, in FY22, EOHHS, on behalf of DPH RVRS, procured LexisNexis VitalChek Network Inc. (“VitalChek”) to develop and implement a VRSS to replace the current, ManTech-provided VIP VRSS. The implementation of this new VitalChek-provided VRSS, Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative (MAVRIC), is the major component of the RVRS’s 21st Century Initiative. RVRS is rolling out MAVRIC in phases, with a projected completion date of June 2026. Until MAVRIC is completed and live, RVRS needs to ensure that the current ManTech-provided VRSS system, VIP, remains online and available.
