The Town of Orleans invites bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the demolition, floor preparation, and carpet flooring installation at the Snow Library, located at 67 Main Street, Orleans, MA. The scope of work includes the removal of existing broadloom sheet carpeting, floor and stair substrate preparation, installation of new carpet tile and installation of broadloom carpet or the riser and treads of the central staircase. Also included is the removal of rubbish to an onsite, contractor provided dumpster. The basis of design for the carpet tile shall be Mohawk Group Design Medley 343 Ember Glow. The library will select a color from a standard selection. Other acceptable manufacturers are Tarket, Roppe or an alternate approved by the awarding authority. . The areas that are included in this flooring work are: Room 106 with a mostly concrete subfloor . Room 114 with a wood subfloor . Room 201 with a wood subfloor . Room 202 with a wood subfloor . Stairs including treads, risers and landings from the lower level to the mezzanine, all on a wood subfloor.
