Lowell Community Charter Public School (LCCPS) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide snow removal services for the 2025–2026 winter season. Services will include snow plowing, shoveling, salting/sanding, and removal as described below. The contractor shall provide timely (prior to 7am on school days) and effective snow removal services at the following locations associated with LCCPS: Mill No. 5 School Building: o Sidewalks along Jackson Street, Canal Street, and Middlesex Street surrounding the middle school building – Mill No. 5. Parking Areas: o 225 Middlesex Street parking lot o 259 Middlesex Street parking lot Other School-Owned Parcels: o Playground area at 259 Middlesex Street o Sidewalks at the school-owned parcels located at Middlesex and Garnet Streets. MAP OF AREA ENCLOSED; Services to be performed include: Plowing of parking areas, access roads, and entrances. Shoveling and snow clearing of sidewalks, stairs, ramps, and building entryways. Application of sand, salt, or ice melt to maintain safe conditions. Removal and hauling of snow when accumulation interferes with safe access and parking, as directed by LCCPS. Additional Option: Vendors may also provide pricing for snow removal services for Mill No. 6. Although that contract is awarded by a condominium association of which LCCPS is a member, the parties are exploring engaging one vendor for both Mill No. 5 and Mill No. 6 as the properties are connected.
