The City of New Bedford Purchasing Department, in conjunction with the New Bedford Regional Airport, is seeking responses from qualified and responsible consultants licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to provide planning and design services for a new Airport Terminal, and a new Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF)/ Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) and Maintenance Facility, including assisting the Airport in the design and planning process, bidding, and construction administration. The scope shall also include design services relating to the demolition of the existing Air Traffic Control Tower/Terminal Facility and the existing Maintenance Facility. The expected timeframe for the project is: May 2025 to May 2028 for design services, construction, demolition and closeout. The selection of the consultant is governed by the Massachusetts Designer Selection Law (M.G.L. c. 7C, §§ 44-58) and the New Bedford Regional Airport’s Designer Selection Procedures. The fee for the project has not yet been established and will be negotiated with the selected consultant. Respondents must list in their responses the names of the consultants they may use.
