Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall contribute to both strategically and tactically to the BCCC student support effort, through this comprehensive support system partnership. Teamwork, collaboration, and a “can do” attitude will be important to BCCC’s Mayor’s Scholars Program. BCCC seeks to engage a student support partner who will be part of engaging the incoming freshman class student community to help guide students through the rigors of being a first time college student. BCCC seeks to be at the forefront of transforming the City and State’s workforce through higher education and being the college of choice for all Baltimore City Public School (BCPS) graduates, and is seeking a student support partner who enthusiastically share the vision, and will demonstrate it in high quality work on a daily basis through the Mayor’s Scholars Program. The student enrollment ranges from 100 to 400 students depending on the number accepted into the co-hort each semester as well as how many have been retained from previous co-hort. Student Assessment: The Contractor shall do a complete student assessment, which includes assessing career choices and needs, determining how many students are having issues with housing, food insecurity or an intellectual disability. The Contractor will perform each assessment individually and if there is any follow up needed the Contractor will direct the student to those resources at the college. The Contractor shall do an in-depth academic assessment. The Contractor shall do a college needs assessment with a career/aspirations inventories. The Contractor shall provide training on financial aid along with a curriculum for financial planning for the initial term of the Mayor’s Scholars Program for incoming freshmen.
