A. The City of Gaithersburg has a need for contract services for periodic repair and maintenance of the City’s streetlighting system, which consists of approximately 4,032 City-owned streetlights. The Contractor shall be required to provide emergency and non-emergency service on an asneeded basis to restore and preserve existing streetlight operation. The Contractor will be required to respond to emergency calls from City Public Works Staff, City Police, Montgomery County Fire-Rescue, and PEPCO on a 24-hour basis. B. The work to be performed under the contract consists of furnishing labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of the City's undergroundserviced streetlights and associated equipment. C. Work includes the outright replacement of damaged or obsolete streetlighting components and modification of individual lights or lighting systems.
