Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Maryland State Department of Education, and other Maryland State Agencies, are partnering with five school systems in Maryland, including Prince George’s County Public Schools, to work directly with system level food program staff and school level food service staff to deliver a program of training and technical assistance which meets individual school system needs. The program is titled Project SELECT (Student Engagement, Lunchroom Environment, & Culinary Training). Partnerships include focused trainings with school system and school-based nutrition staff; and concurrent, comprehensive technical assistance at four designated schools in the school system for topics related to food service operations, culinary skills, and Smarter Lunchrooms strategies.
