Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all coordination, scheduling, supervision, labor, tools and equipment, facility investigations, materials and supplies, incidentals, appurtenances, and mobilization required to effectively construct and complete the protective improvements for shoreline stabilization, hereinafter described and located. The project site is located along the Potomac River shoreline of the Potomac Heights Mutual Homeowners Association; and involves the construction of 1,755 linear feet of vented stone sill, sand fill graded to the elevations shown on the plans, and marsh planting to create a living shoreline and wildlife habitat along the shoreline of the Potomac Heights Cooperative Community in Indian Head, Maryland. This item consists of all efforts associated with Mobilization and Demobilization to and from the project site. The work covered by this section consists of performing installation, maintenance, removal, required restoration, and all operations related to erosion and sedimentation control devices, including but not limited to the turbidity curtain. A floating turbidity curtain barrier (e.g. Tough Guy Type 2. DOT or approved equal. The barrier shall be made of 18 oz./sq. yd. laminated vinyl-polyester fabric (300 lbs PSI Test) and all seams shall be heat-welded. The barrier shall have a marine quality polystyrene continuous floatation device, providing 28.4 lbs./ft. buoyancy and shall be weighted in accordance to the Contract Drawings. Each barrier shall measure 3’ deep and 50 ft. in length. The ends of each barrier shall have a minimum of five (5) brass spur-locking grommets per side.
