A floating turbidity curtain barrier (e.g. Tough Guy Type 2. DOT or approved equal.
The barrier shall be made of 18 oz./sq. yd. laminated vinyl-polyester fabric (300 lbs
PSI Test) and all seams shall be heat-welded. The barrier shall have a marine quality
polystyrene continuous floatation device, providing 28.4 lbs./ft. buoyancy and shall be
weighted in accordance to the Contract Drawings. Each barrier shall measure 3’ deep
and 50 ft. in length. The ends of each barrier shall have a minimum of five (5) brass
spur-locking grommets per side.
