Provide all labor, equipment, and expertise necessary to perform snow and ice removal operations on roadways for routes as designated by Calvert County Government. B. Report to Calvert County Government’s Highway Maintenance Division. C. Provide one-ton trucks, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, heavy equipment, and other equipment with operators (hereinafter, “Equipment”), equipped at the Contractor’s expense in accordance with the specifications found in this RFP. The Contractor shall only utilize equipment listed on the Contractor Equipment Statement that has met all requirements outlined in the Contract documents for snow removal/anti-icing operations. 1) The Contractor shall provide operators that possess a valid driver’s license for the equipment they will be operating, valid DOT medical certificate (if applicable), and follow all requirements associated with the operation of the equipment to be used for snow removal/anti-icing operations. 2) If a piece of Contractor equipment provides multiple services to the Calvert County Government during the winter season that piece of equipment shall only be entitled to one pre-season retainer (if applicable), one minimum payment guarantee (if applicable), and one post-season retainer (if applicable), whichever is highest of those services provided. 3) Calvert County Government reserves the right to place any piece of hired equipment on actual operating time, and to discontinue the use of a piece of hired equipment at any time as field conditions require or if a hired piece of equipment is not working 27 satisfactorily. The Director or designee will be the sole judge as to whether a piece of hired equipment is performing satisfactorily and meeting the Calvert County Government’s operational needs.
