Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hours of operation shall be between 7am and 3pm, no exceptions. Litter/debris pickup from pavement edge to pavement edge or outlined areas within areas covered under this solicitation. Work for each cycle shall be started and completed within the same week to minimize traffic constraints to the travelling public and to avoid overlap with other mowing efforts. If weather prohibits working, or work is stopped due to weather, the contractor shall return as soon as weather permits to complete the cycle at the engineer’s direction. SHA estimates 2 days to complete each cycle with adequate manpower and resources. Litter shall be removed and bagged prior to mowing any area. Disposal of non-hazardous debris can be made at the SHA Salisbury shop in the waste dumpster or roll off. Tires and Tire Scraps can be disposed in the SHA Salisbury shop scrap tire bin. Any trash or debris in the outlined area of work shall be the responsibility of the contractor. This includes trash and litter in median areas not being mowed that may be on concrete/asphalt/mulched areas. If trash is accidentally mowed, the contractor shall clean the debris immediately. Recommended/Required Equipment: Pickup with equipment trailer 54”-60” Zero Turn Mower (s) with Mulch attachment or rear discharge (grass cannot be thrown on pavement surface or directed at vehicles) Walk behind/push mower to cut in obstructed areas String trimmers for guardrail and vertical objects.
