Specifications include, but are not limited to: Providing all labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing and performing all work necessary for the Repair of Storm Water Line at Patuxent Institution, Jessup, Maryland. Protect opening and excavation per OSHA/MOSHA requirements. Remove loose material from the open excavation and excavate to uncover existing 12” RCP storm water pipe. Remove damaged section of existing pipe, approximately 50 linear feet. Undercut sub-base 6” minimum underneath the pipe. Backfill with #57 crushed stone and compact to create a trench bed 6” minimum thick. Install new section of 12” RCP pipe, and connect both ends to the existing pipe. Backfill with #57 crushed stone and compact, covering the pipe up to 6” above the pipe. Continue Backfilling on layers of 8 – 12 inch and compact each subsequent layer, up to 12” below the existing grading. For the bituminous paved section of the existing roadway, continues graded backfilling up to 4” below the actual surface level of the existing paved road and compact. Install minimum 2-1/2” of Hot Mix Asphalt Base Course.
