Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.1 The Contractor shall inspect, identify, monitor, evaluate, and choose the appropriate method of pest control. The Contractor shall set up an appointment with the Contract Monitors prior to inspecting the sites. 3.2.2 The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, services, permits, chemicals, equipment, devices and any other items necessary to accomplish full treatment pest control for all areas specified herein. 3.2.2.1 The Contractor’s employees and subcontractors shall be neat and clean in appearance and shall wear company uniforms while performing their duties under this contract. 3.2.2.2 Within thirty (30) days of being notified of award, the contractor shall have taken all appropriate actions to eliminate or control all pests or rodents within the areas enumerated in the specifications. 3.2.2.3 The Contractor shall provide at its own expense, available supervision over the work being performed and shall be held solely responsible for the conduct and performance of its employees and subcontractors involved in the contract. 3.2.2.4 The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe use and application of the pesticides being used for pest control. Protective clothing, equipment, and devices shall, at a minimum, conform to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for the products being used. 3.2.2.5 When applying liquid products, the Contractor shall exercise care so as to prevent staining to floors and walls. 3.2.2.6 The Contractor shall use environmentally sound rodent suppression methods, including repelling, trapping, and poisoning programs. The pest control service provider’s IPM technician will use live traps called “Catch Alls”. The pest control service provider’s IPM technician will use glue board traps which contain non-toxic glue. This program shall include methods that reduce food, water, harborage, and access used by rodents such as mice and rats, and other related mammalian species. All rodenticides, regardless of packaging, shall be placed in tamper proof, locked or sealed boxes in order to protect the public and non-targeted species. When necessary to install rodent bait boxes, the Contractor shall supply a written report to MSA that indicates box location, date of installation, and date for removal. At the conclusion of this contract, the Contractor shall remove from all premises, all insecticides, rodenticides, and bait stations. The Contractor shall provide written certification of such to MSA. All initial materials used by the pest control service provider will be approved by the San Francisco Tier 3 rating system or mechanical methods. Pesticides not listed in the San Francisco Tier 3 rating system, can also be evaluated using the Pesticide Product Evaluator Tool or San Francisco Hazard Review Process. Performance is measured by use. This plan is to be followed 100% of the time. The pest control service provider will complete service logs each time they visit to ensure the goal is being met.
