Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.1. The Contractor shall provide its experience and expertise in the field of Internal Medicine Infectious Disease control for the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Employee Health Services Unit, at 6776 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21215 as follows: 3.2.2. The Board Certified Internal Medicine/Infectious Disease Specialist (licensed Physician) awarded this Contract shall provide direct consultation with Employee Infection Control Unit Staff, Physicians, DPSCS Administrators and other State and federal agencies. 3.2.3. The Contractor shall be available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for consultation. 3.2.4. The Contractor shall work from his/her office and as needed, shall attend meetings at various correctional facilities as designated by the Contract Monitor. 3.2.5. The Contractor shall write respiratory protection and infection control policies, procedures and protocols for the DPSCS Employee Health Services Unit. 3.2.6. The Contractor shall develop appropriate Departmental Directives for Disease Outbreak and Disease Intervention. 3.2.7. The Contractor Shall conduct annual reviews and audits on the Secretary's Blood borne and Airborne Pathogens exposure control directives. 3.2.8. The Contractor Shall provide current medical information and guidelines regarding new infection control policies and regulations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health Mental Hygiene (DHMH), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH). 3.2.9. The Contractor shall be familiar with MOSH Regulations and guidelines specific to Occupational Airborne and Blood borne Pathogens. 3.2.10. The Contractor shall consult with the DPSCS Inmate Health Services Unit on infection control disease, intervention activities, and respiratory protection. 3.2.11. The Contractor shall determine and decide the validity of a suspected employee exposure to occupational pathogens and make appropriate recommendations for intervention. 3.2.12. The Contractor shall conduct on-site inspections at correctional facilities where outbreaks of disease may have occurred.
