Specifications include, but are not limited to: Maryland Health General Article ยง13-2201 to2207 establishes the Child Abuse Medical Providers (Maryland CHAMP) Initiative in the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) to identify, recruit, train, and provide ongoing support and education to healthcare providers who evaluate child victims of abuse and neglect served by Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) โ see attachment R โ CHAMP Statute. The Offeror shall administer the Maryland CHAMP Initiative in order to ensure that all Child Advocacy Centers in Maryland have access to healthcare providers so that all children in the State who are victims of abuse or neglect needing expert medical evaluation are seen by a qualified healthcare provider with specialized training.
