Specifications include, but are not limited to: The SU Maggs Natatorium Maintenance Upgrade is a 16,000 square foot facility that contains an existing 8,500 square foot indoor swimming pool, pool deck, and ancillary offices at the main level with spectator seating off to the side of the pool. The maintenance upgrade is highlighted by selective demolition where much of the existing MEP, Pool equipment and infrastructure within the facility will be removed and replaced with new equipment, ductwork, insulation, piping, hangers and conduit. The interior architectural features, new gypsum walls and ceilings (hard lid and ACT) will be installed along with concrete masonry partitions and infills. New doors, frames and hardware will be part of the upgrade along with infill ceramic tile work and various areas that contain newly painted surfaces including the ceiling of the Natatorium which will require a high-performance coating. Additional work includes misc. metals for duct support, concrete infill and housekeeping pads, extension of sprinkler system, new fire alarm devices, new lighting and lighting control system, concrete restoration to both pool and foundation within the service tunnel and masonry and wall panel infill. Pool replacements of the old starting blocks, re-grouting of the pool’s walls and floor, handrail posts, new sumps for the deep end and the main drain pool covers replacement will occur.
