Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Kitchen fire suppression system testing and inspections shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 96, this will include biannually (happening twice a year) usually in the spring and fall at the sites listed in attachment 1 on the next page. 2.2 Minor adjustments to a systems’ equipment may be made during the test and inspection. Time and materials used to perform minor adjustments shall be billed at the rates shown on the Spec., Pricing and Delivery Sheet and must be approved in advance by the Director of Maintenance or his designee. 2.3 All deficiency discovered during the inspection beyond “minor adjustments”, will be identified, and a proposal developed to correct or address all identified deficiencies, these proposals will be separated at a minimum by school site. 2.4 Maintenance recharging, testing (including but not limited to hydrostatic testing), and adjustment to the extinguishing tanks as required by NFPA, state and local code is included in this scope of work. 2.5 Upon completion of the test and inspection, a complete report with Certificate of Inspection will be left on the premises at each location. 2.6 Work will be scheduled by the Director of Maintenance or his/her designee. All work shall be performed between the hours of 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., except when all schools and offices are closed as indicated on the SMCPS operational calendar.
