Specifications include, but are not limited to: The EAP Provider shall provide, at all USM client locations, an Employee Assistance Program (“EAP”) for the benefit eligible employees and their immediate family members. The program will assist the participant with problems that may impact the employee’s job performance and/or work behavior. The EAP is provided as a resource to the employee or family member for self-referral to address his/her concerns/problems, and also to be utilized by the participating universities for mandatory referrals. The total number of benefit-eligible employees for all participating universities is approximately 18,371. The proposed EAP must have the following characteristics: • Available to eligible employees as determined by each institution; • Employees are eligible for services from the first day of employment; • Dependent coverage availability – (spouse, child, and co-habitant); and • Rates must be guaranteed for a minimum of three (3) years.
