Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The scope of work will encompass all aspects of services for supplying and providing Emergency Generator installation, maintenance and repair and related Work for various Baltimore City Agencies. B. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and supervision necessary and incidental for preventive maintenance, service and/or repair of emergency generators at any of the various Baltimore City buildings in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers’ recommended procedures. C. The contractor shall be in a position to lease Emergency Generators on as needed basis on a short notice to the City. D. Preventive Maintenance (1) The preventive maintenance work to be performed once a year in general shall consist of but not limited to the following: (a) All spark plugs or glow plugs to be replaced after one (1) year. (b) Ignition condensers and points to be replaced after one (1) year. (c) The entire equipment to be lubricated and the oil changed with new filters once a year. ((1)) This includes lubricating the distributor, battery charging generator and/or alternator starter motor or governor. (d) Fuel tanks and lines to be inspected once each year for the purpose of determining if excessive sludge or rust is collecting. (e) Fuel filters to be replaced once a year. (f) Replace air cleaner cartridge after one (1) year. (g) Check brushes on generator for proper setting and operation once each year. (h) Clean commutator and slip rings once each year. (i) Check stouter exciter, rectifier, rotating diodes, rectifier for output once a year (j) Conduct safety shut down checks for low oil pressure, high water or air temperature and over speed once every year. (k) Check injectors, injector lines and injection pump once a year. (l) Check transfer switch contacts once every year. (2) Perform preventive maintenance checks on all gas generators once each year, as per manufacturer's recommendations. (3) Perform preventative maintenance on all propane gas generators once a year, as per manufacturer's recommendations.
