Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All containers must be in compliance with ANSI standards Z245.6-1990 and Z245.3-1994, or revisions. Standard dimensions are available in Z245.6 appendix E (rear load). Testing and labeling requirements are available in Z245.3 appendix G. 2. Bottoms must be constructed with minimum 10-gauge steel. 3. Sides must be constructed with minimum 12-gauge steel. 4. Containers must be compatible with any current lifting device available on trucks. 5. Rear load containers must be equipped with four (4) 6" greasable ball bearing swivel casters, securing device to keep lids open when dumping and must be available with plastic lids. Washers on the trunion bar must be 2 ¼" diameter. 6. Rear load 2 cubic yard container must be slope front type. 7. On rear load 2 cubic yard containers, the horizontal distance between the trunion bar and the front of the side lift points must be 22". Lift points should be capable of withstanding 900 pounds load each. 8. Container must have a drain plug, which must be on the bottom. 9. Containers must be painted inside and out with rust inhibiting primer and topcoat. (Color specified on order – either green or white). If single coat system is use, manufacturer must furnish documentation that coating is accepted and recognized as rust inhibiting. 10. 2 cubic yard containers must have two (2) lids that must be no smaller than 32" W x 40" L, and shall not touch the ground when opened.
