Specifications include, but are not limited to: The St. Mary’s County Government (County) is soliciting bids to establish a Firm-Fixed Price Contract to renovate and construct the Sheriff District 4 Office, in Lexington Park , MD. The project is located at the former Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad Building at 21633 Great Mills Rd Lexington Park, MD. The renovated facility will include office space, a meeting/training room, holding cells, processing areas and small arms storage. All existing elements, with the exception of the exterior bearing walls, shall be removed in their entirety. No additional square footage is being added to the existing footprint. The primary exterior envelope will be constructed utilizing the existing block wall structure with new masonry veneer and exterior metal panel rain screen. A new steel frame shall be erected to support a two volume roof structure of metal deck and steel bar joist. The existing electrical, water and sanitary systems shall be demolished in full, making way for the new utilities to be constructed and tie into existing point locations on site. Site improvements shall consist, but not be limited to, the resurfacing of the parking lot and erecting a chain-link fence to enclose the back of house operations.
