Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The Strategic Planning Session shall further the CEC’s core mission and campaign goals. For example, goals may be: o Support our regional water utilities, COG members and/or jurisdictions, and expand their unified messaging; Gain public support for protecting water systems and source water while increasing consumer engagement; and o Develop metrics to evaluate goals and strategies. B. Revisit the CEC committee’s name and whether to develop a committee logo. C. Help to prioritize CEC activities and staffing to align with the core mission and goals. 2) Develop an overall CEC communications strategy, including: A. A Messaging Planning Calendar for the three (3) core CEC programs: TapIt, Protect Your Pipes, drought/Lawn & Garden Website and other special topics as needed. The calendar will include annual and monthly focus areas for public outreach events, communication materials, and social media. B. Work with the CEC to create a social media campaign strategy and implement it across platforms (Websites, Facebook and Twitter). C. Develop sample content and strategies for Messaging Planning Calendar themes for CEC members. D. Use of social media (e.g., Facebook and Twitter) to increase engagement with TapIt business partners. E. Coordinate the new communication strategies with COG’s Office of Public Affairs and other relevant stakeholders. 3) Assist with the development, design, and marketing of downloadable resource PDFs for the lawn & garden website and assist COG staff in promoting this revised program and new web-based format. 4) Rebuild relationships with and engage new TapIt business Partners and end users (e.g., exercise enthusiasts, university students, “Trip Planner,” Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Association, green groups) via: A. Direct meetings B. Social media C. E-newsletter 5) Assist the CEC with prioritizing, scheduling and planning two to three (2-3) outreach events (tables and booths) for TapIt, PYP, and drought/yard, in accordance with the to-be-developed CEC Annual Planning Calendar. additional items under the Scope of Work may include: 6) Evaluating public engagement and behaviors. 7) Supporting Protect Your Pipes program licensing. 8) Support for other water projects as applicable
