Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Recreation Parks and Tourism wants to renovate the 60’ x 96’ basketball court at Cedarhurst Park, 28083 Rockawalkin Ridge Road, Salisbury, MD 21801. 2. The project consists of milling existing basketball court then repave, seal and stripe and add new baskets and poles. 3. Please Note: the fencing will not be replaced 1. Remove the existing basket poles. a. The backboards and rims will be removed prior to the start of the project by the Parks personnel. 2. Mill the existing surface to a depth of six (6) inches. 3. Remove any tree roots that may have encroached under the Court. 4. There should be no clumps of asphalt greater than one (1) inch in milled material. 5. Successful vendor shall provide engineering and layout to ensure drainage. 6. The grade is to have a 1% - 1 ½ % side to side slope for surface drainage. 7. Finish, grade and compact the area. 8. Pave area with two (2) inch compacted thickness of bituminous concrete, base concrete machine laid and rolled. 9. Overlay the area with a 1 ½ inch (compacted thickness) of Type D Bituminous Concrete (hot mix) machine laid and rolled. a. This layer is to be laid perpendicular to the base layer. 10. The new basketball post, back board and goal is to be Bison Heavy Duty Playground PR52 Package: Item # E68080. a. This uses a 4 ½ “ gooseneck pole with four (4) foot extension: Item # E25667. 11. The footers and sleeve are to be round so there are no corners. a. Footers are to be 48” deep x 24” diameter concrete. 12. The placement of the pole is to be outside of the paved court. 13. Patch any minor birdbaths with court Patch Binder. 14. Upon completion, pavement should be smooth and free of depressions that may hold water. a. Depressions are not to exceed a depth of ¼ inch. b. Depressions greater than ¼ inch shall be corrected. 15. The Broom area shall be free of loose debris and aggregate. 16. Colorcoat with two (2) coats of black Acrylic Resurfacer; # 4200-55 and two (2) coats of Fortified Plexipave; Item # 5510-30 in the color Florida Green. a. These materials are to be California Products and no substitutions will be allowed.
