Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Baltimore County Board of Elections requires the preparation, printing, labeling and mailing of the Specimen Ballots required for the Primary, June 2018, and General Election, November 2018. 2. Ballots must be printed exactly in the proper format and mailed on the date requested. This must be strictly adhered to. All printing must conform to the election laws of Maryland. Printer is required to submit proofs to the Election Board for approval before printing final copies. 3. Samples of previous Specimen Ballots are available for viewing. Contact Tom Acree, the buyer, to view a copy. 4. The Specimen Ballot for 2016 may be comparable in layout and design. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. The Specimen Ballots must be designed as a self-mailer. Specimen Ballots shall be printed on white paper with black printing – both front and back. 2. It must meet all United States Postal requirements. Therefore, the printer must work closely with Mail Clearinghouse. 3. The back of the form should be designed to include mailing information, postal endorsements, and a message to the voters with voting instructions. 3.1 PLEASE NOTE: The orientations of the address information must place the single fold along the bottom, the double fold to the right side as you read the address, leaving the top and left edges open. 4. The front of the form should be designed to accommodate the Specimen Ballot heading, voting dates and times, ballot style, board attest and facsimile of the ballot (All screen shots of the ballot must be shown). Size: Approximately 34" x 11" (contingent upon number of screen shots and any additional written communication. Folded: Approximately 5 ½" x 8 ½” Paper: 60# offset Ink: Black litho, printing 5. The voter registration file will be provided on a CD or may be FTP upon request. The printer will be responsible for picking up the CD from the election office. Please give one day notice to run data.
