Specifications include, but are not limited to:Scope of Work: Work to be performed under the terms of this contract includes, but is not limited to, the removal of dead, dying, or diseased trees; the correction of structural defects; crown cleaning; crown raising; crown thinning; stump removal; brush removal; removal of damaged limbs or trees; and replanting of trees. 18.2Hours of Work: The hours of work will include: summer hours, April through August, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM; and winter hours, September through March, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; unless otherwise specified by the County. 18.3Holidays: The Contractor will not be permitted to work on the County observed holidays which include:New Y e a r ’ s D a y , M a r t i n L u t h e r K i n g J r . D a y , M e m o r i a l D a y , I n d e p e n d e n c e D a y , L a b o r Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Holiday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day except as stipulated in Section 16.15. 18.4 Personnel : 18.4.1 The crew shall consist of seven (7) crewmembers. A minimum of three (3) crewmembers shall be Licensed Tree Care Experts in the State of Maryland with the ability to climb. One (1) of the licensed crewmembers shall act as the working foreman and shall be fully conversant in English. 18.4.2 All crewmembers shall be skilled in all aspects of tree pruning and tree removal according to ANSI A-300 Standards (www.oshamidatlantic.org). A minimum of three crewmembers shall be American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Certified Flaggers (www.atssa.com). During flagging operations, the flaggers must be in possession of the ATSSA cards. 18.4.3 A c o p y o f t h e C o n t r a c t o r ’ s M a r y l a n d T r e e C a r e E x p e r t l i c e n s e s hall be provided with the bid submittal.
