Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Contractor shall: a. Have at least five (5) years’ towing experience. b. Be fully licensed to perform towing services in Anne Arundel County c. Respond to emergency calls within one (1) hour of the call, to the accident/break-down location anywhere in the county, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including all holidays. d. Notify the Transportation Office by telephone if an unforeseen emergency adds time to the response requirement. e. Secure the AACPS vehicle prior to removal. f. Be capable of performing the following services: 1. Tow and remove drive axle or drive shaft, when required 2. Place vehicle upright 3. Winch vehicles from mud, snow, ice, etc., when required 4. Transport via lowboy or rollback truck, when necessary 5. Perform necessary clean-up activities at the scene of an accident g. Ensure that all employees are fully trained and licensed to perform the duties assigned.
