Specifications include, but are not limited to:he Maryland Department of Health, Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control will award a Contract to target and address youth access to tobacco products through tobacco retailer and community education in Baltimore City, Maryland. Activities must include: (1) Partner with local health department to reduce tobacco sales to youth. (2) Participate in trainings offered by the Department’s Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control. (3) Conduct a minimum of 200 store-to-store tobacco/nicotine sales education sessions with tobacco merchants in Baltimore City. (4) Conduct a minimum of two (2) tobacco/nicotine community education meetings on youth access to tobacco/nicotine in minority and low income communities. (5) Conduct a minimum of 80 store assessment surveys. The selected Offeror shall: 1. Be located in Baltimore City. 2. Have prior demonstrated experience educating grass root communities on Tobacco control. 3. Be willing to conduct community education events on evenings and weekends. 4. Have knowledge of state and local tobacco sales laws. 5. Have staff capacity to conduct tobacco retailer education and community meetings.
