Tanium is the Converged Endpoint (physical devices that connect to and exchange information with a computer network) Management solution that DoIT Maryland Benefits has selected to manage the DoIT Maryland Benefits devices. The Tanium solution has a series of "Modules"; that address security and IT Support in day-to-day operational requirements, from management of the Device encryption BitLocker (a Microsoft Windows security and encryption feature) to compliance and sensitive data visibility. The Tanium Certificate Manager will manage all the digital certificates in the environment per endpoint to avoid business disruptions due to weak, unknown, and expired digital certificates. The module will identify where all the digital certificates are stored, the health status of each and flag noncompliant digital certificates. Cryptography can be vulnerable to compromise, and this threat is ever increasing as advances in Quantum Computing accelerate in the future. The Tanium SaaS solution is FedRAMP certified at the moderate level meeting all security and privacy requirements and regulations.
