Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Student Skill Profiler and Virtual Internship Tool will be developed to allow the students throughout the 14 college consortium to create, modify and validate a personal virtual profile that will allow them to seek employment and internship opportunities during their program of study. Additionally, employers shall be able to post employment and internship opportunities, search for qualified candidates among the users and directly recruit talent for their businesses. The tool will have both a student facing and employer facing component that will facilitate this interactive. A. For the program participants, the tool will enable students too: • Build and modify a virtual profile with will include but is not limited to their contact information, work history, current relevant academic accomplishments, professional certifications and other relevant information. • Validate academic and professional accomplishments through use of official records. • The ability to validate professional skills learned throughout their course of study using an accepted industry recognized metric s. An example of this would be the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education’s, National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework model. • Create an industry specific resume using the information provided through the personal profile. • Upload additional documents to their profile including diplomas, industry certifications, and other relevant documents.
