Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for plowing and sanding Town roads, as determined by the Town Manager. The Town has approximately five (5) miles of roadway in its jurisdiction for which it is responsible.2. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and labor to make certain streets are cleared in a timely manner. Contractor shall begin operations upon snow accumulation of a 2-inch depth. Contractor will continue operations until assigned streets are clear and precipitation has ended.3. The Contractor will apply sand rather than salt as the primary traction base. In areas with steep inclines and at steep intersections, a mixture of salt and sand will be applied. The Contractor will provide barrels of a salt and sand mixture at steep intersections for residents’ use. The contractor must supply the sand and salt required by the contract.4. The Town agrees to pay the Contractor for the performance of the Contract services at the rates specified in the proposal.
