Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, insurance, and services necessary for, and reasonably incidental, to provide complete snow removal and related work at various City Schools locations as requested by the City Schools Facilities Department on an as needed basis. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to snow shoveling, snow plowing, and spreading snow melting chemicals on parking lots, private roads and sidewalks, entry ways, and loading docks. 2. All work shall be performed based on the pricing model provided in the Bid Proposal and in accordance with proposed rates. 3. All work shall be performed and completed in accordance with all applicable codes, regulations, and directives. City Schools shall bear no responsibility for monitoring the Contractor’s compliance with legal requirements. 4. Contractors shall enforce strict discipline and good order among their employees at all times and not use any unfit employee or anyone not skilled the task assigned. Contractors shall remove any person in violation of these requirements immediately upon request by the City Schools Project Manager, whose decision is final. Contractors are responsible for ensuring that their employees work in harmony with City Schools’ personnel on each snow removal project. 5. Contractors shall coordinate their work in a manner consistent with the operation of the school. 6. No illegal drugs or alcohol are permitted on school sites and no one under the influence will be permitted on City Schools properties. 7. Contractor’s equipment must be in good working order. Trucks with snow plows shall have flashing lights in compliance with all applicable laws. 8. Contractors shall use every available precaution to provide for the safety of their employees, students, City Schools employees, visitors to the school site, and the general public. 9. Contractors will only be assigned work for which they have submitted pricing. In other words, if you submit a bid for both plowing and shoveling work you will be assigned both. However, if you submit a bid for shoveling but not plowing, you will only be assigned shoveling and not plowing work.
