Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Maryland School for the Deaf is soliciting proposals for the services of snow removal from our 5 parking lots, 2 bus loops, and roadway behind the Support Services Building including the Cafeteria loading dock area as well as the roadway in front of the Kent McCanner Elementary School. Contractor is to provide all labor and equipment necessary to clear the areas listed above of 2 4 inches of snow within a 3 hour period following notification from the schools Maintenance department via phone or text. The contractor should provide a phone number that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The base price should be on a 2 -4 inch snowfall and show the additional cost per 4 up to 1 foot of snow as well as base cost beyond 1 foot. The additional costs should reflect the use of equipment necessary for the task. Frederick Municipal Airport data will be used as the official measurement of snowfall and / or ice accumulation. Removal may be required after normal working hours or on weekends and holidays as necessary. The school will be responsible for all de icing of the plowed areas. The schools late opening / closure policy is based on the Frederick Countys policy and normally follows their lead.
