Sanding and de-icing will be done as conditions warrant with special attention to handicap ramps and pedestrian crosswalks. Contractor shall follow Montgomery County, MD, updated guidelines for salt/de-icer application on sidewalks and roads: 1.5 cups (12 ounces) for every 10 squares of sidewalk and 20 feet of roadway. The areas to be plowed, sanded and de-iced include all roadways, walks and other properties that are maintained by the Village of Friendship Heights (see attached map). These include the sidewalks, pathways and driveway at the Village Center, Willoughby Park, Page Park, and the houses at 4602 North Park Avenue and 4608 North Park Avenue. Roads to be plowed include North Park Avenue, South Park Avenue, The Hills Plaza, Friendship Boulevard (between North Park and Willard Avenue), and Shoemaker Farm Lane. Bid to include hauling away excess snow as necessary and the cleaning up of all excess salting/sanding debris. North Park Avenue is a snow emergency route.
