MVPLO, an educational service managed by the MSDE, expands the access to challenging online professional learning courses to Maryland educators. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits or Professional Development Points (PDP) are earned by educators who successfully complete these courses. These high quality, rigorous courses align with Maryland standards as well as other appropriate instructional standards. MSDE offers online courses in collaboration with the local education agencies. The Offeror will serve as a facilitator for the MVPLO online professional learning courses: teaching webdelivered courses, monitoring and reporting participants’ performance, and communicating regularly with participants and the MSDE online professional learning specialist. The student to teacher ratio will not exceed 20:1. MVPLO works to keep class sizes reasonably small; however, a minimum of 10 enrolled participants is required to run a course. Instructors will communicate with MVPLO staff and participate in MVPLO faculty activities when applicable. Facilitators will conduct weekly synchronous office hours for participants.
