Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contract shall offer a price proposal to provide for one armed security guard posted in work shifts to cover twenty-four hours daily, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The contractor will provide qualified Armed Security personnel to augment the College’s Office of Public Safety unarmed, but uniformed Officer. Specifically, one armed security contractor will be on duty, reporting to Director or designee, Office of Public Safety, for an eight-hour shift. The contractor requirement is to provide for one armed security Officer for twenty-four hours daily, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The anticipated performance of period for this contract will be for six months, with the possibility to extend the contract for an additional six-month period. Security services to be provided are based on a work force using permanently assigned personnel with each armed security Officer limited to no more than eight (8) hours on each shift on 24 hours by 7 days a week schedule during normal operating days and after normal business hours. The Office of Public Safety currently consist of 12 Officer: 8 full-time Public Safety Officers (PSOs), 1 part-time PSO, 2 full-time dispatchers, and 1 part-time office associate.
