Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State is issuing this solicitation for the purpose of obtaining sealed bids to provide Statewide emergency snow removal services with the State of Maryland (hereinafter referred to as the State) for the clearing, removal, hauling, and lawful disposal of snow and snow-related debris from Interstate and State roadways, ramps, bridges, and other areas designated by the State on a standby basis. This Contract is soliciting for these services for one or more of six (6) Regions to include associated Agencies and political subdivisions located within or compromising these regions respectively (see Section B/Terms and Conditions, Part 38). The objective of this Contract is to secure the services of experienced Contractors who are capable of efficiently clearing and removing heavy volumes of snow and ice from a large area in a timely and cost-effective manner and lawfully disposing of all snow and snow-related debris. Other snow removal services such as pretreatment of roads and the plowing and salting of roads are not a part of this solicitation.
