Specifications include, but are not limited to: Senior Technical Advisor :Job Responsibilities: - Provide leadership with urban and rural treatment facilities to provide Holistic Clinical Care of ART patients, clinical assessment of patients receiving ART, recognition and management of side effects, identification and management of OIs, Adherence, and palliative care skills. - Support Local Partner Treatment Facilities (LPTF)s medical staff in clinical care of ART care with complex cases. - Participate in Ministry of Health Working groups as related to expertise. - Provide leadership to Medical Technical team in the areas of HIV care and treatment - Submit monthly reports of component activities to Country program manager. - Ensure quality care at site level by enhancing capacity of clinical (Medical Officer, Clinical Officer, and Nursing) staff by building on current skills through onsite mentoring, trainings and - Review of local challenges and assist sites with problem solving to address patient needs from clinical perspective. - Participate in advance training programs including: recognizing and managing drug side effects, identifying and managing of opportunistic infections, TB/HIV co-infection. - Provide LPTF staff with all the latest information on HIV care, including updates on new national guidelines.
