All capable contractors are welcome to respond to this notice and shall provide a brief capability statement that covers the information in the statement of work. The Capability Statement shall be limited to 5 pages. The Government will not review any other information or attachments that is more than the mentioned page limit. The Government will not review generic marketing materials that do not address the information contained herein or the attached documents.

STATEMENT OF WORK
- 4 Preventive maintenance visits a year for a Beta Star steam sterilizer, model N243660, serial# B0337, to ensure compliance with FDA guidelines for animal housing.
- As needed emergency service calls with 12 hour response time.
- PM Inspection Checklist-
- Visually check the outside for signs of leaks or damage
- Check steam, water and air supply lines for leaks
- Check the door travel operation
- Check and adjust door for 1/8" clearance
- Check the lower door switch operation
- Check the door lock cylinder operation
- Check the power door cylinder operation (if automatic)
- Check for proper door seal retraction
- Check the inside of the chamber for melted materials and clean
- Pull and clean the drain strainer
- Clean and check the chamber screen
- Check the door gasket and replace if necessary
- Check the traps, valves, solenoid and the plumbing for leaks
- Check load cart or shelf rack for proper alignment
- Check the airlines and valves for leaks
- Check liquid cycle
- Check the slow exhaust rate
- Check the operation of the vacuum system
- Check the 2 PSI pressure AND operation
- Run solid cycle @ 121ºC
- Run bio bag cycle @ 121ºC
- a.) Check the prevac depth
- b.) Check the charge pressure
- Check "water in chamber" safety sensor operation
- Check the dry cycle phase for proper operation
- Perform a leak test (annually)
- Replace air-in filter annually (indicate date changed)
- Check tempering valve for proper effluent quench
- The equipment is in the animal facility of the VA Hospital at 10 N Greene St, Baltimore, MD 21201.
- All parts included except pumps/motors/controls
