Remove and dispose of old roofing materials, felt paper, and associated roofing accessories to expose the underlying wood substrate. For the main building, verify that all plywood substrate surfaces are acceptable to receive new roofing system. Replace any damaged half inch (½”) plywood sheathing per Unit Price #1. The DNR Project Manager must be notified of any damaged sheathing prior to replacement so quantities can be verified. For the two (2) specialty buildings, verify that all substrate surfaces are acceptable to receive new roofing system. Replace any damaged T&G 4/4 x 6” substrate boards per Unit price #2. The DNR Project Manager must be notified of any damaged boards prior to replacement so quantities can be verified. Install ice and water shield underlayment membrane around the entire perimeter of roof; over each of the two roof valleys; and both roof ridges of the main building, and over the entirety of both specialty buildings according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For the main shop building, install #30lb felt paper underlayment over the entirety of the roof pursuant to the manufacturer’s instructions. This will be installed over the ice and water shield. Prior to installing the ridge vents, cut the substrate plywood or boards along the ridgeline to allow proper air flow. Install new ridge vents along the ridges of all three buildings per the manufacturer’s specifications. Install new ridge cap shingles along the ridges of all three (3) buildings according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Install new metal drip edge around the entire perimeter of all three (3) roofs pursuant to the manufacturer’s specifications. Install one (1) new Lead flashing boot at rear of the main building for the plumbing vent in accordance with manufacturers instructions ensuring not to tear the lead boot at its base. Install approximately seven-thousand five-hundred twenty (7,520) SF of lifetime asphalt architectural shingles to include new flashing(s) in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions to all three buildings. Install new aluminum high flow gutter guards on the existing gutters of the main building, according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Interior: Main Building In the rear service bay portion of the main building, remove the water damaged drywall ceiling in the two corners. Remove the water damaged in-ceiling insulation. Notify the DNR Project Manager if there is evidence of wood rot on the truss framing. Install new in-ceiling insulation in the removed areas according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Install new drywall at ceiling where removed, finish tape with joint compound, and prep for paint. Ensure the drywall joint compound is properly sanded prior to primer paint. Prime and finish paint the ceiling’s new drywall, with one coat of each paint type.
