a. Excavate down to and remove six (6) stormwater culverts and dispose of. b. Install new gravel culvert pipe bedding materials in trenches, approximately twelve (12) tons, using Unit Price 2. c. Install six (6) new 15” concrete culvert pipes in the same locations as the previously removed pipes. All culverts and swale outfalls shall have positive drainage. d. Culvert trenches are to be backfilled with CR-6 in 6” lifts, 1’ minimum coverage depth to meet adjacent road elevation, compacted using a jumping-jack tamper, plate tampers are not permitted. Gravel to be quantified using Unit Price 1. e. Clear and recreate the existing inlet and outlet swales, approximately three (3’) feet wide by twenty (20’) LF, prior to and post all six (6) roadside culverts, approximately fourteen-hundred forty (1,440) SF. Taper ends no steeper than 3:1. Stabilize cleared swales using specified soil erosion blankets and seed. f. Scarify the existing road surface to a depth of one inch below the lowest point of the road, approximately nine-thousand feet by twelve feet (9,000’x12’). g. Remove scarified waste materials, approximately four-hundred eighty (480) tons. Half of the waste materials shall be placed in a location onsite at the Park Services’ discretion, approximately two-hundred forty (240) tons. The other half shall be removed and disposed of off-site, approximately two-hundred forty (240) tons, using Unit Price 3.
