- Background:
US Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), on behalf of US Army Program Manager Positioning, Navigation, and timing (PM PNT), is issuing this Request for Information for the procurement of Connectors and Cables in support of A-kit production for the Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System (MAPS) GEN II integration into Army mounted platforms. The connectors and cabling will be required to connect to the MAPS GEN II system and transfer data to various clients on US Army vehicle and weapons system platforms.
The Government is seeking information from industry to support MAPS GEN II A-kit integration activities on the following Army Platforms:
M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank
M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle
M113 Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle Family of Vehicles
The Government requires delivery of these acceptable connectors no later than 30 January 2026.
The Government is seeking a Commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) item in accordance with FAR 2.101 to fulfill this requirement
2. Connection & Cable Types:
A. Push-Pull Plugs: 24-contact, pre-populated wires terminating in cut wires (2-12ft in length).

B. Wire Harness Assemblies: with 24-contact, 8mm push-pull connectors integrated into a harness with 1 or more D38999/26KB35PA compatible 13-pin circular connectors. Stainless steel, passivated finish.

C. 11mm Push-Pull Plugs: 19-contact, connector plugs.

3. Common Specifications (All Cable Types - CBL-000-237):
- Construction: Polyurethane (PU) jacketed cable.
- Conductors: 4 x 24 AWG, 10 pairs x 30 AWG with FEP insulation.
- Shielding: Braided and foil shielding for EMI/RFI protection.
- Connectors: Brass body (Anthracite Mat/Shiny or Black Mat finish), PEEK insulation, Push-Pull locking. Solder or Crimp termination.
- Sealing: IP68 - Dust and water resistant.
Performance:
- Electrical: 100% tested for continuity and shorts.
- Environmental: 24hr immersion to 2m, vibration (10,000 cycles), 300g shock (3ms), 1000hr salt spray.
Temperature: -55°C to 135°C.
4. ACC-APG is seeking the following information:
A. Potential Respondents should provide a capability statement that details the specific technical documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and monthly production capacity for suitable connectors and cable harnesses.
B. Potential respondents should provide relevant history for the production, sale, and delivery of suitable connectors to the Department of Defense.
C. Potential respondents should provide estimated timelines for production of these connectors and the lead time on orders in after receipt of order (AOR) terms.
5. RESPONSE
A. Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI via MS Word document by responding to the Point of Contact (POC) below.
B. Responses are due no later than 03 September 2025, at 1700 EST. Responses shall be limited to those items referenced in section 2, 3 and 4 and shall be submitted via e-mail to the points of contact outlined in 5.D. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Responses should be limited to ten (10) pages.
