This Section outlines the scope of work for Repairing/Replacing the two gas lines located at Maryland State Police Waterloo Complex 7765 Wahington Blvd. Jessup, MD. Refer to the appropriate specification section for further information about installation methods and components to be provided. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Replace a 4” gas line located between Building 7745 (Quartermaster Division) and Building 7749 (Motor Vehicle Division). 2. Replace a 3” gas line located between Building 7749 (Motor Vehicle Division) and Building 7765 (Property Unit). 3. Work will consist of connecting new piping to existing piping located at each building. Each new line will exit the ground outside of the buildings and then enter through the exterior wall to connect to existing piping due to new code requirements. 4. All above ground piping will be painted Yellow 5. New piping will require pressure testing to verify appropriate tightness and to ensure there are no leaks present. 6. All new material used will be steel pipe welded construction. 7. All new piping that will be below grade/below ground will be coated with primer and protective cathodic protection coating applied.
