Frostburg State University (FSU), within the Division of Advancement and Regional Development (DARE), has created the Frostburg Outdoor Recreation Economy Institute (FOREI) to propel the Tri-State area’s outdoor recreation industry by providing research, education, and training programs for workers, business owners, and policymakers. FOREI’s community partnership model cultivates a skilled workforce, fosters innovation, and promotes sustainable practices to ensure a thriving future for all. FSU is requesting proposals for consulting services to perform regional outdoor recreation economy analysis that will include stakeholder engagement, recreation infrastructure business mapping, research, economic impact analysis, and the generation of strategic opportunities & recommendations. The study region is defined as Garrett & Allegany County in MD, Bedford & Somerset County in PA and Mineral County in WV. Consultant proposed deliverables may include survey results, meeting summaries, contact lists, Geographic Information System (GIS) & other data, and reports.
