The purpose of this Request for Quote (RFQ) seeks to procure the services of a certified fire prevention/protection contractor to install a hood and fire suppression system above the kitchen range in the canteen area at the Workforce and Technology Center (WTC) located at 2301 Argonne Drive Baltimore, MD 21218. The hood will require an exhaust only canopy hood. This should include a fire system, exhaust fan, electrical system and Ansul system. The work will also require that an exhaust fan be mounted on the exterior wall, near WTC’s existing courtyard. The job requires cutting and patching of the masonry wall and the use of scaffolding for outside. The exhaust fan should function from a switch on the wall. The Workforce and Technology Center (WTC) is one of the eight state operated comprehensive rehabilitation centers in the United States. WTC opened in 1973 and is located in Baltimore, Maryland. It serves individuals with disabilities from throughout the state and other nearby locations.
